In the end, Crysis offers a similar overall experience to its predecessor. The sandbox gameplay is among the best in the genre, and its lengthy single-player campaign largely makes up for some questionable multiplayer.

Needs a powerful PC rig to run properly - Crysis will test your hardware like no other PC game in some time.

So, back to the original question, Crysis turns out to be a pretty perfect woman. It\'s beautiful, clever, fun loving, doesn\'t mind what you get up to and does its very best to keep you happy (it even has the option to turn the volume down). In fact if I wasn\'t already spoken for I may be getting ready to introduce it to my parents.

This is a game that feels supremely engineered, like a precision machine, or a German automobile. It makes Half-Life 2 seem old and frail, but by the same token it does nothing to diminish the imaginative achievements of that series.

Adding it all up, Crysis is definitely the most impressive title today from a graphical point of view and the only thing the competition can do is smile and wave. What’s remarkable is that the game will be as impressive in the future as well, when the hardware catches up and will be able to run it at high resolutions with anti-aliasing on.

Each individual area of the game is overwhelmingly impressive, but when considering what Crytek has accomplished with the game as a whole package it\'s hard not to be blown away. Will everyone run out to get a new PC capable of playing the game? Probably not. Is it worth the investment in the end? Absolutely.

Sadly sales figures to date have been incredibly poor, probably due to a combination of the high number and quality of alternative PC first person shooters on the market, piracy, and the required specs being so high as to put many people off. And this is a shame, because Crysis is definitely a game worth taking a look at.

Crysis has been on the receiving end of a lot of hype for quite some time now, so there has been tons of pressure for the game to perform well. By and large it has. It looks very good, and the gameplay is solid with some fun new tweaks thrown in. Just be prepared for the possibility of having to upgrade your PC in order to play the game.
