Sorry if this has been asked. I did a search and didn't come up with a simple answer. Will Crysis have a COOP? Wil the game be easy to mod? Will there be a software program with the game for making mods? Cool Thanks for the feed back.

there will not be any co-op. (never seen a pc game too have it) the game will be suposedly very easy to mod due to the sandbox 2 editor that is included with the game. that last answer answers your 3rd question as well.

The game includes SandBox2, which is like the Unreal Engine 3 editor.  Short asnwer: yes, it will be have a software program for the mods which promises to be an intuitive and powerful tool. Cheesy

What about Rainbow Six: Vegas for example? And if you mean split sreen then there is (or at least was) Serious Sam: The Second Encounter (I don't know about first one)
Shame they don't use splitscreen anymore, it was kinda cool to play  Smiley
Finished it with 2 friends, even though we couldn't have three mouses or keyboards so we had to aim with keyboard buttons. Lol imagine playing on one keyboard with 2 other people, all using their movement buttons, aiming buttons and other smaller ones  Tongue
Has anyone officially confirmed that Crysis won't have at least LAN Co-op?

I think it's been confirmed by Crytek that when the game comes out it wont have out-of-the-box co-op features.

i can answer the lan question but the NDA prevents me... unless it has already been released then i will be glad too.

ill just put it this way, what online modern pc game doesnt have lan?

also, i have never played rambow six or any of those other games you mentioned.

Well thats great to have sofware to mod the game. I like the idea of Coop being part of Crysis. Its a entirelty differnt dimension to the game. I sure hope someone gets it out soon. I have pre ordered the game so I'm sure it will be all I feel it will be with or without Coop.

fence_jumper---

This NDA stuff is getting redicilous....... It's like------
"I can't say if this game has guns or not in it, because I would be breaking the NDA" lolz!

You would not be breaking any rules fence, it has already been revealed in the past that YES this game does support lan. In fact, a LOT of what you people are afraid to mention, has already been revealed by Crytek or other official previews in the past. You won't be breaking any NDA's, if you are simply posting old information. Grin

Now about coop...... I too hate how most modern shooters never have coop. In the glory days of 1rst person shooters every big shooter had coop..... All dooms, duke nuke (and any game built on that like engine which is many), quake, quake 2, unreal, Rune, and on and on and on......
Then we hit 1998, and everything went to hell for coop, starting with Half Life Shocked

Since then, we almost never see official out of the box coop anymore. However most big shooter games still get coop, but only because of modders. FARCRY had a few coop mods, but they sucked.... It rarely worked correctly, synching was a major issue. It could be a problem in Crysis, but yet I think and bet that it will work MUCH better then it did in farcry...

Only if Crytek has taken extreme measures of prevention, will there be no coop mods for Crysis. Otherwise rest assured IT WILL HAPPEN, and quick! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

yeah even half life 2 has a coop mod that you can play through with your friends, its called the synergy mod i think.

Thing is though they didnt make more enemies so basically you end up going through and owning easily

Well BF1942 had great coop and so does Joint Ops. I'm sure someone will mod this game if they can for a coop. I guess I will just have to wait and see. Hey you never know I might have to take a look my self to see If I can mod it.... Ya sure! My old squad when I was playing BF42 DC mod was the WCC (West Coast Combat) Thye made coop mods for BF42 and BF2. They are great guys and gals.  I guess I should stop in and see what they have up there sleeves for Crysis.

Oh yeah..... Those generic online shooters tend to have coop, I forgot..... But their single player modes are less then incredible, so I tend to forget them altogether lol.

Pretty much anyone was able to add coop to FarCry.... Just save existing single player maps as multiplayer maps, and blamo, generic, unsynched, crappy coop!

Now if in Crysis, Crytek has disabled the ability to place baddy  NPC's in multiplayer maps, then we might have a problem that more experienced and skilled modders will have to figure out.
It should be possible to place baddies in multi maps, being as how we've already seen that other creatures are in the maps.

I've seen plenty of multiplayer crysis vids on youtube that show crabs, birds, fish and others. Looking good for coop!! =D

What do you mean mean generic? Is Crysis generic or is FarCry? I didn't care for FarCry because it breeds a Rambo gamer style of Run and shoot. Oh well It will be interesting to see what comes of it. Like I said money spent already on the pre order so I'm just watching the clock. (-:

Cevat Yerli clearly states in an interview posted on youtube that Crysis will have no Co-op.

mmmm, maybe I will make a co-op map first rather than the original map I was going to make.

That sure would be nice if you or some one would make a coop. I love the idea of the  game but to be trurhfull I prefer Co-op. I get kinda tired of trying to keep up with kids that look for way to exploit the game instead of playing it the way it is intended thus (Punk Buster). More often then not you find less hackers in a coop then in any other kind of first person shooters (AAS - TDM) Am I starting to show my age?  (-: It's realy to bad they don't lock people out from changing the parameters of there game (config files). That just comes down to who is the bigget geek not the best players. Im sure Crysis has addressed these issues so it wont be a problem. So for now I will be holding my breath till some one makes a coop. Lets us know how you are coming with yours.

I think 4 player nanosuit SWAT action would be awesome in the singleplayer.

Co-op might make the game too easy though.

You ever play Far Cry?
No it won't.
Plus, what about every other game with co-op? Crysis will be much harder then any of those.

It will be strategic. That is what will make the co-op so amazing.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was co-op before the game even comes out. Co-op for the demo.

Still, did FarCry have 4 player co-op? You could simply over-power your enemy with all that firepower. 2 fire like crazy, while the other 2 flank and kill the enemy. With 2 people its still quite hard, I would think.
