Enhanced by Exodus

Well, many of you have heard of it, and now it is here. Cheesy
My custom configs for Crysis.
These configs will work for any system, and will significantly increase graphical quality with almost no effect in performance.
XP users may actually get an increase in performance. Smiley

I do recommend any light-based settings to be on as high as your system will allow, though.

I have to thank Belloni, because I used the way he made his config file (autoexec) to create my configs.

I would also like to thank CryKitty and Flamed Up for testing my configs, and providing some screenshots.

Here are a few screenshots of it:

Here is a (very bad) comparison of standard vs. luxus. It also has framerates on the top left of the screen.

Standard game:

With my mod:

I have to say, that these screenshots don't do the beauty of Crysis with my config justice, but trying it will. And I ask you to please try it. You won't be dissappointed. Cheesy

Installation Directions:
Download the Luxus_Silentium.zip file to your desktop
Unzip it, and grab the autoexec.cfg file, and put it on your desktop.
Drag and drop the autoexec.cfg file into your base Crysis folder (not in your configs folder, in the "program files/electronic arts/crytek/crysis" folder)
Enjoy! Cheesy

You can also modify the settings as well.

Modification directions:
Right click the autoexec.cfg file
Click "open with"
Select "Notepad"
Have fun tweaking! Cheesy

If you have some good tweaks, share them here if you wish. Smiley

I hope everyone has fun with this. Tongue

Download link is below.

well, these are basically the same as belloni's config except for the addition of shadow blur (i usually disable it to gain fps..) and enabled color grading for depth of field which imo is barely noticeable. darkening on flat open surfaces is also slightly adjusted and i'm sure those who have yet to try these or belloni's settings will be more than happy. personally, i get better fps using my own custom settings, so i will stick with those for now. nice screens Smiley

I'll run a comparison between the two when i am able to run Crysis again (I accidently snapped off the CD-ROM drive holder so no go there!)

Looks good though, and thanks for the mention.

These don't look at all like Belloni's configs.
Belloni's configs have extremely strong colors, very very dark shadows (basically black), and is much much stronger then my config.
I made these configs because I didn't like his configs. (No offense to him, though.)

i don't mean they look the same on screen, there is a noticable difference and personally i think yours look better. my ssao_darkening is set to 1.5 so i think we both agree on the colors and dark shadows. my point is your tweaks are basically the same except for the features i mentioned which i personally disable to gain some performance and it was only to point out that this won't make much difference performance wise if you already are using his settings. it's all a matter of taste, and his tweaks + your visual adjustments are without a doubt a good combination. Hmm, visually not much different from Belloni's except longer draw distances, i prefer Belloni's at ssao_darkening @1.5 and motionblur to 0..don't think much of motion blur.

That's strange, when I tried Belloni's, everything had very dark colors, and the shadows were flat black.

yes it applies edge blurring using r_UseEdgeAA=2 (works great on foliage). if you already have anti aliasing applied, your current settings will actually override this one.. if that is the case i suggest you turn it off.

I love you man. Smiley

Got rid of all the jaggies on trees and made my performance go up for some reason. One thing though, is there a way to get rid of the awful looking "low shader" grass?

That would be the power of the Silentium.  Much like the famed and fabled Flux Capacitor the Silentium needs 1.21 gigawatts of power to run crysis at 30fps...haha

I'm glad some people like it. Cheesy

There is more to this config then you guys think.
It is not only good for the regular Crysis game, but I also made it to work perfectly in conjunction with the lighting system (TOD) in my mod. It delivers absolutely incredible lighting that I still can't get over. Cheesy
