PC Games Hardware has published an interesting article which seems to look at several of the Crysis characters by looking at close up screenshots of their faces to see what great detail has been put into them by the character artists, some of them look very life like.

You can see the rest of this article by clicking here. The site is in German but you should still be able to navigate through the pictures.

This I think is the best of all of them, looking most like a photo.

Tell me about it, when I took this ss of a NK he kept changing his facial impression constantly. I was amazed on how realistic it looked, this is really one of those small details that you don't think about but it is truly amazing anyways.

Just look at his sneeky look, I was in cloak when I took that pic and he was looking my way all the time. It really looks like he can see something where I am and he is trying to decipher what it is.

You probably have to click the image to see it properly.

EDIT: ****, my picture stopped working.

Do not name it, my friend, for it is like water. Nothing is softer than water. yet it can overcome rock. It does not fight.
It flows around the opponent. Formless, nameless. the true master dwells within.

I've always thought that NKs were the most unrealistic of all of the characters, but with a lot of specifics (like you mentioned Flamed up).

All of the closeups look extremely detailed, and if nobody told me I was looking at models, I would have probably be have assumed they were real.

what is scary - is that they are so scarily realistic Confused

When i saw this article on the main page, i thought the first shot of the man in the cap was a comparison shot! It was that realistic i thought it was just a photo o_O.

Its crazy how far we have come in 8 years since the days of games with about 50 poly's per model, and 128x128 resolution textures.

Perhaps FarCry 2 -- it shows a lot of promise at his point, though part of me is expecting continual delays like what happened with Crysis.
