--CUDAS FAQ--

sys_physics_CPU

Set this command according to your CPU. This sets the physical index that physics runs on, i.e. what core.

0, is for the first core, keep this at 0 if you have a single core CPU.

Set it to 1 to run physics on the second core of a Dual Core CPU for best performance.

2 and 3 are for the third and fourth cores of Quad core processors, usually 3 works best.

e_recursion_occlusion_culling = 1

e_hw_occlussion_culling_objects = 1

e_hw_occlusion_culling_water = 1

These three commands no longer work, and need to be deleted from the config file that you decide to use.

e_detail_materials_view_dist_xy
We set this to 4096 for much better details on Mountain textures in singleplayer, but this won't work for Multiplayer, since PunkBuster will kick you.

Set it to 2048 to avoid this problem when playing on MP.

r_TexAtlasSize = 512
Is known to cause a flickering bug on some systems, change it to 1024 to fix. Thanks to Yggdrasill

r_motionblur
After the 1.2 patch, this needs to be set to 5 for motion blur to function and work correctly, if you want Object Blur in DX10. Otherwise, if you just want to enable it, set it to 1 like always. Thanks to Bigbuck

r_depthoffield
Set to 1 to enable; set to 2 for a stronger blurring effect on far away terrain.
-------------------------------------------

Hey,

Enjoy my easy to use installer.
Enjoy Crysis with maximum awesomeness.

-Arch

To start off, massive thanks to Cuban and EVERYONE who made this config possible.  I have been awaiting it's release since it's original conception, and sheer awesomeness of the results compelled me to sign up on the forum and thank you guys for your effort.

The config is incredible, it makes Crysis seem like a whole new game.  Before CCC1.3, I was getting 20-30fps on medium/high settings on my 8800gts 320mb.  Now, I get a consistent 40-50 fps with lows at around 30.  This has an immense effect on the gameplay experience of Crysis. I am playing through the game again, exploring new ways of playing, and having a blast.

My favorite part of the new look has to be the shadows.  Everything is much sharper now and it looks great.  Coupled with the new TOD, the new and improved Crysis looks simply sublime.

Congratulations on the release, and all of you have my utmost respect.
Cuban, UltimaRage, Doomlord, Sword, and Arch.. you guys are the masters of Crysis.

Hey guys, I gotta say for the most part this config is kick ass. I went from playing around 25-30fps on 1600*1200 to 30-40fps at 1920*1200.  Finally I can play this game at native res.  I did tweak it a little though, enabled motion blur and depth of field in the lvl 4.

These guys spent 70 hours on a mod, for free, that works. And with less bugs than the original game. Bravo.

Alright. I tested it out and I can't be any more amazed than this. You guys, have exceeded in the best config ever. You have balanced the performance and the beauty of the game. The game looks life like now with very good fps. The config brings more than performance to the table, it brings the beauty of this game with the new TOD. The installer was amazing. The whole procedure went super smooth and I was playing in no time. Thank you for all of this hard work. It now pays off with this amazing config.

The whole installing process went very smoothly for me. I also included a back up. And I waited 5 minutes for the whole process to finish.

Once again, thank you and I hope you continue to bring new material to the table!

Hey guys,
Just tried your config, without the tod for the moment, and i got to say, VERY NICE WORK!!
I don't really need a config cause i'm one of the few lucky players that can play the classic very high at good frame rate on DX10 but i wanted to see your work and I really like the sharpeness and the colour of your config!

Hey, I have been using the 1.2 CCC, and awaiting this config for a while. Absolutely love the configs, and the performance that comes with them, thanks to all of you who worked on this excellent config.

I actually just created the account to give my thanks. Well that and do my part of the benchmarking.

I have to give props on you guys on this, crytek need to hire you guys to tweak their games. This is how it should of been released, not rushed like it was. BIG PROPS to UltimaRage on the TOD settings this game is 10 times more realistic now, really enhances everything have to play through the game again now. THANKS GUYS

Hey guys... I've tested a few levels. Contact is absolutely amazing. Reckoning takes a bit of a hit for FPS in certain areas, by the way. But, it also is amazing. This config really makes everything look vibrant, dark is darker. Bright colors are brighter. And so on.

I can really tell the difference now when I look at the mountains, and see the high details on them. The Sun also is very well-tweaked. Contact really shines when the Sun comes up for the first time. No pun intended. I give this a 10/10!

Excellent CFG.. Really improved my FPS, most noticeable in MP (since I don't play SP much anymore Tongue)..

When I played MP I thought it was like 30+ FPS.. It's like 20 to 25, but VERY smooth. Also the freezes (not MOAR related Tongue) in Prototype Facility don't last more than 0.75 seconds. I also don't get these freezes in the War Factory anymore, the FPS just drops a little for less than a second..

Again, really, really excellent CFG. This is the first custom CFG I've used, and the performance increase is quite significant..

I use the level 1 config in MP, adding colorgrading and some changes to LOD settings to match the level 5 one..

We've spent hundreds of hours on all of our configs.

It's not a competition; we are here to help you all with your Crysis performance, and help you get the most out of this game; both visually and performance-wise.

Looking at the installation steps I feel I'm to lazy to give this a go right now Tongue

Have faith, I shall try it out in due time, and if it works fine, possibly some screenshots for your OP If you find that proper? Judging by those pics above this might be interesting, but it isn't the best I've seen.

Only time will tell what I think of it, on which I will report back here for my general impression of your config.

I was directed here from one of my previous posts and was curious:

on my current system:

3400+ athlon (single core)
BFG 7800 GT OC (i just unlocked the remaining 4 pipelines yesterday)
200 GB Hard Drive
2GB Corsair Xms2 800mhz RAM

what would i be able to expect in regards to the pretty eye candy with this config? would my PC be able to take advantage of graphics similar to the screenshots you provided?

One of the things this config has over many others is it has 5 Levels; the 1st level is for lower-end PC's and the 5th level is basically every little effect turned on.

dwk114; gerard has a nasty habit of trying to talk down about any other config that isn't his. He actually got banned in the incrysis forums for constantly coming into our topic and posting links to his config; while flaming other members in the process. 4 people have spent hundreds of hours developing this project; so you got to think; there's got to be something to it, right? Wink 1 Try it before you knock it.

EDIT: http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18999&p=11

We've posted this in incrysis aswell; we've gained over 200 replies; and 3500 views.... in one day!

If you're curious about certain things in the config; many people have posted their experiences thus far with it; so check it out.

the only problem i might see with your config is the fact that shadows look really dark in your screenshots so for multiplayer this can be a problem as it will be hard to see people

but for singleplayer this goods great

i had the same problem with taos config i asked him and he was able to point me to the comand that made it so dark

is the a way you could do the same for yours ?

It's completely different when playing; they're light enough so they don't affect your vision.

Again; the true prowess of the ToD and config cannot be captured in a screenshot.

If you still find it too dark; try setting r_SSAO_darkening to .3 or .25; maybe even .2

The thing is; because of how the eye adaptation work with the TOD; when you're in a forest for example; the darker areas lighten up; to give the effect that your eye is adjusting to low-light areas.

This is the most realistic ToD to grace the Crysis scene to date. We'll have to take some more screenshots; as those don't do it justice at all.

The pink is only the first sunrise color; it changes to orange, then a dark yellow; then to the regular sun color.

I have tried this, and it's very good! The installer makes it very easy to install a TOD, i have seen TOD's over 200MB and this installer is under 20MB. The levels is a good thing, in the installer you choose which level from a description of the kind of computer that can run each of them.

The config gets really good performance, less shuttering at the same fps. I use the lvl 4, with a E6600 and 8800GT 512 mb and have about 30fps in the jungle maps. It looks much like the screens in top with lvl 4, but maybe they were taken with the lvl5.

The TOD is nice too, the only thing I personally don't like is the pink sunrise but i googled pink sunrise and found that i can actually look that way.. But, there is 2 sunrises in the game and the other looks completely different, and in contact were the sunrise is pinkish it's only pinkish in a short time, then i goes to normal.
And the normal is changed with this TOD! It's much more realistic, and with the very sharp shadows of the config it plays together really well. ( Might be a little low shadow draw distance, but that's easy to fix.)

If you play crysis often you owe it to yourself to just try it out. It's really something. Besides, there is also an uninstaller, so if you don't like it it's easy to remove. Btw, before lunching the game, change some of the first cvars to fit your computer specs and resolution.

strickt : Yes; very much so. I recommend the LVL 4. You will gain FPS and even gain a higher quality look throughout the game. Cheesy

EDIT: On incrysis forums... our thread over there just gained THREE THOUSAND views in an hour!! :O

Jack; try another program; maybe try updating WinRAR? The archive itself is fine; and unfortunately I don't have access to that Obsidian-Fire account and I also am not the Installaion programmer. Hopefully we can get this sorted out for you when my friend get's on. Cheesy

Thanks for the support Wision! Your reply is very much appreciated! Cheesy

Have you tried re-downloading the installer? It sounds like a corrupted download to me. If you're using a download manager; try downloading it without it as well.
