Hey everyone, Come up with the idea today of maybe having are own folding@home team?
For those of you that have never heard of folding@home here is there website and a wiki
http://folding.stanford.edu/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folding@home

Team ID: 110878
Team status page: http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=110878

So come along and use your idle CPU for some good!!!  Dont forget that your PS3's can also be used in the project!!!

I'd consider joining, but I'm already part of XtremeSystem's World Community Grid team, so that gets most of my free CPU cycles. Now if they could get a GPU client up so I could fold on my 8800GTX, then I'd sign up.

Unfortunately the F@H client is only single threaded, which means on a multi-core CPU, you need to run as many instances as you have cores. I think this means you'll need 4 copies of the files, but I'm not sure. I'm really surprised that they still haven't gotten around to updating the client to be multi-threaded.

By the way, does anyone know if you can run Folding@Home on the BOINC client?
