Hello Crysis-Online!

It has become necessary for us to create a written set of rules to help you avoid disagreements with the Admin Team. This rules section is subject to frequent updates, so check back regularly to ensure that you remain current on all of the rules. If you see someone breaking any of the rules, please refer them to the appropriate section.

1. General Forum Etiquette

1.1 Respect other forum members and they will respect you. If a forum member shows a lack of respect toward you or other forum members, then report them to one of the Admin Team, who will take the appropriate action(s).

1.2 Only make a post if you feel you have something valuable to contribute, 3 word answers will be deleted.

1.3 The use of mild profanities is permitted as long as it is not directed at anyone and is suitable for the younger members. Excessive profanities are not permitted and will land you in trouble.

1.4 To reduce the chances of posting a duplicate thread, please run a 'Search' before posting a new thread unless you are absolutely positive your thread is the only one of its kind. Duplicate threads will be locked or deleted.

1.5 The Admin Team's word is final, do not argue with them or attempt to sweet talk them, as this will get you nowhere.

1.6 Do not post in CAPITALS as it will simply get deleted.  Do not post using huge font sizes, those will be deleted also.

1.7 This is an English speaking forums, which means English is the only language spoken here. We ask that you respect this.

1.8 The 'Rep System' is there to compliment a member if he/she has done something worth gaining a Rep Point. Abusing this system will land you in the bad books.

1.9 Having 2 or more Forum accounts for a single user is not permitted and could potentially lead to a permanent ban for both accounts. The offender will have a chance explain his actions, and based on the reply a decision will be made. No second chances will be given.

1.10 Spamming useless garbage on the forum will simply get deleted and, in extreme cases, will result in your account being suspended or banned.

1.11 No Forum is perfect without its loop holes. Any member caught exploiting these loop holes will be dealt with harshly.

1.12 It is very easy to go off topic when in a discussion, so please keep this in mind when creating a reply. If a member of the Admin Team requests that you return to the topic, then do so immediately and do not reply with "ok, sure thing, rite-o", et cetera.

1.13 Thread hijacking is not permitted, and if you do hijack a thread, then you will be dealt with harshly. If you feel a thread has been hijacked, then report the member in question to a member of the Admin Team.

1.14 Politics/Religion/Race are all topics that are NOT permitted on the forum. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be dealt with harshly.

1.15 Trolling will not be tolerated. This would include actions such as posting a contrary opinion in a thread for the clearly deliberate purpose of derailing the thread and causing arguments. If you are suspected of trolling, the Admin Team will evaluate the situation.

1.16 The PM system is designed for Private Messages. You may not post Private Messages without the permission of their writer. If you have been abused or spammed via Private Messages by another member, you may then send the offending message(s) to a member of the Admin Team. A violation of this rule will result in a suspension or ban from the site.

1.17 If your thread has fallen, you may not bump it until at least twenty-four hours after it has been started, nor may you bump it more than once in a twenty-four hour period.

1.18 Links and promotions of purported money-making sites are not allowed, no matter how you perceive their validity. This includes Pay to Click sites, "free ipod/xbox/et cetera" sites, and anything similar.

1.19 Admissions of piracy are severely frowned upon, and we do not permit discussion of how to pirate or similar, beholden to the discretion of the staff. In the event of piracy of Crysis, the punishment by default is permanent ban from the forums. If the member in question expresses a solid intent to purchase Crysis legally, the punishment is a suspension of two weeks time. The punishments may vary somewhat per incident, as per the discretion of the staff.

2. Media (Images/Movies/Sounds etc)

2.1 All formats of media are allowed to be posted as long as they DO NOT fall into the following catagories. Any media that falls into these catagories will be removed and a member of the Admin Team will discipline the poster at his/her discretion.

Copyright Infringment (Illegal)
Offensive or Abusive in any way
Content that is not suitable for the younger generation

2.2 The forum does have an attachment feature that allows files to be attached upto the size of 25mb.

2.3 Signatures and Avatars are enabled on this forum, but have guidelines that must be followed.

The maximum size for a signature is 600(W) pixels X 100(H) pixels. If you use a signature that does not comply with these sizes, then it will be removed and you may or may not be notified.
Animated Signatures/Avatars are NOT permitted as they slow down the forum/site download times.  If you use an animated Signature/Avatar, then it will be removed and you may or may not be notified.
You are permitted 1 Signature image, 1 userbar and a few lines of text following. Users found breaking these parameters will have their signatures removed or modified without notice.

2.4 Crytek Media that is not meant to be viewed by the public will be removed without question if posted on this forum. Do not attempt to share it, otherwise it will result in Disciplinary Action being taken.

2.5 Links to Rick Roll videos, or any other sort of viral videos designed to be annoying, are offenses that will earn you a suspension, subject to the individual moderator's opinion of how aggravating that particular link was.

3. Disciplinary Action

3.1 The Admin Team will only hand out a Disciplinary Action in extreme cases of misconduct. This is often the last resort before finally being banned from the forums.

3.2 We believe in giving everyone a fair chance, which is why you will be warned first if you have done something wrong. In absolute extreme cases, a ban will be given without warning.

3.3 If you feel a member of the Admin Team is in the wrong and you were in the right, then you have the opportunity to present your case in the Complaints thread.

4. Buying & Selling

4.1 You buy and sell AT YOUR OWN RISK. Crysis-Online bears no responsibility for bad deals.

4.2 Do not use the reputation system for buying and/or selling.

4.3 At the current moment, software selling is not allowed.

4.4 Post all selling threads in the Hardware & Technology section.

4.5 You must be a Senior level member or higher (100 posts or more) to buy or sell. 

4.6 All items for sale MUST include a picture of the item with a piece of paper/cardboard/similar next to it that says your username and the date the picture was taken. Any thread without this picture will be deleted on sight.

5. Teamspeak

5.1 To gain access to the CO Teamspeak Server you must first agree to the Teamspeak Contract.

5.2 All the mentioned forum rules apply to the TS Server aswell.

5.3 No shouting/mouthing/insulting behavior will be tolerated. Abuse this and your access will be revoked.

5.4 The Admin Team of the forums also comprise the Admin Team for the TS server.

5.5 English is the only language that is to be spoken on the TS server.

6. Clan

6.1 Disrespect toward other players will not be tolerated and will result in an instant ban (Admin's Descretion)

6.2 The use of cheats, hacks and exploits will result in an instant ban - NO WARNINGS

6.3 No shouting/mouthing/insulting behavior will be tolerated.

A: Crytek is aiming for Crysis Warhead to be released this fall, no further information has been released on the subject.

Q: Why do some of the screenshots and videos look sort of bland?
A: you are viewing screenshots or videos from a rushed Pre-Alpha Build for CES, they may (and probably) have taken out a lot just to make it playable for people to play it in its unoptimized state, so don't fret!

Q: Does Crysis Support the use of Ageia PhysX cards?
A: No, Crysis will not support the use Ageia PhysX cards, they have their own powerful engine which makes use of the CPU and Graphics card.  Cryengine 2 also take advantage of multi-core CPU's to give even better performance in the game.

Q: How will my graphics card run Crysis?
A: If you have any questions concerning the performance of your gear in Crysis, please review the topics HERE for any information you can find. You can also create a topic of your own.

Q: Will I need a Direct X10 Compatible graphics card to play Crysis or Crysis Warhead?
A: No, you will be able to play Crysis with a Direct X9 graphics card, but crysis will have several graphical improvements with a Direct X10 card (running in Microsoft Windows Vista).

Q: I have an older graphics card (nVidia 6600 or equivalent, Radeon x800 or equivalent), will I still be able to play Crysis?
A: Yes, you will still be able to play Crysis, but in low graphical settings. It is said that Crysis in low will look somewhat like Farcry in High settings.

Q: My topic has been locked/removed, why did this happen?
A: If your topic has been locked then a moderator or administrator will usually explain why the topic has been locked. As for topics that have been removed, the reason may be that the topic has already been posted or it contains inappropriate or irrelevant  content.

Q: I have a problem with a game! where can I get help?

Q: I'm planning on upgrading my system, is there somewhere I can get some advice on hardware?
A: You can post your upgrade details HERE, the community will comment and discuss your parts and possibly refer you something better or more suitable for you.
