Tutorial: How to install a signature

Hey all

To save alot of time and repetitive posts with code and what not I have created a simple tutorial for users to use to install their signature on the Crysis Online forums.

This is done in 3 easy steps:

1)

On the main home page of the forums there is a link bar, click on the 'Profile' button or click THIS LINK to take you directly there.


2)

This is the main profile page. You now need to click on the 'Forum Profile Information' link located to the left.


3)

The final thing to do is to insert your image code into the signature section located at the bottom of the current page.
Here is an example of the code you need to insert as well as the different links you can incorporate

Standard Image (Recommended)

Code:

[img]http://www.imagelink.com/yoursignature.jpg[/img]

Standard Image with External Link

Code:

[url=http://www.yourexternallink.com][img]http://www.imagelink.com/yoursignature.jpg[/img][/url]

Once you have put the code into your signature you can then click on the 'Change Profile' button at the very bottom of the page. If you do not click this the changes will be lost.

Please Note: The maximum signature size for this forum is 600(L) X 100(W) pixels

If your image is not hosted on a website you can upload it to many free hosting sites such as:

www.imageshack.us
www.freeimagehosting.net
www.photobucket.com

Alternatively you can send me a PM and I will arrange for your image to be hosted on my webspace.

Umm, where can I upload my pictures for free at really high resolutions?

Preferably somewhere where I don't have to give away my e-mail...

imageshack.us ? just upload it from the front page, max 1.5mb not really super high rez, but jpeg can give good resolutions in small file sizes

or make a photobucket account, yes you have to have an email, but most people have one, because they give you lots of space and a big uploading size for free

Or attach them to your posts. Once attached, anyone can view them (including non-members) so you can share them with whoever. Simply click the "Additional Options" drop down on the post screen. You can currently host files up to 25mb here on the forum for free.

Hahah all im saying as way back when I had to figure all this **** out myself, so I thought it was nice of him to just show you guys
