A person from http://www.i4u.com spoke to a Crytek employee at E3.
That employee told that Crysis may have some problems with Vista, under some hardware configurations,  so they have to
wait for release of new GPU drivers to work with them on game.
"Vista is not stable in some cases, connected with games, under some hardware configurations"-he said.

That person, from http://www.i4u.com, tells us that there are problems with
SLI 8800 Ultra under Vista: games unload after some time of playing.

Crytek has been waiting for more stable Vista GPU drivers, thats why game release
is being delayed (the same about MULTIPLAYER BETA).

Feldmarschal says:
You can count the source of information not truthful, but
this version of why Crysis release, and its MULTIPLAYER BETA release are being delayed, looks probable.
Vista is becoming more and more stable, GPUs are getting more and more stable drivers,
so there is a wish that Crysis will be released in 2007.

I dont think something like that will be a real problem for the people at Crytek. Theyre pros.

Finally, some reliable news. Now we know why it's being delayed.
Any idea when these GPU drivers are going to be released? They better hurry up.

I dont think so.

1.) Crytek never said that they would release Crysis in September, because many people get angry if they release it in october/november.

2.) You can say it can take longer until they release it, but you cant say it will be later than september -> 1.)

3.) Maybe Crytek already had that problem when some magazines/websites told us that Crysis would be released in september.

We will see in august. If Crysis really comes out in september, I think they will make some announcements in august or even start the beta.

Theyre just not telling us, so that we dont get crazy if the release date is beeing delayed.

When you have no information you feel worse than if you have bad information.
Bad Crysis news could be better than no Crysis news.
Now I understand why Crytek does  not tell us about beta.
Imagine if they say: "Ah, we have problems with Vista and GPU drives, Crysis is being delayed because of it..." -
and less people would move to Vista (they would wait for Vista SP1, new drivers, etc.),and Microsoft would get angry.

I will move to Vista Home Remium after 1 week, and from now I stop waiting for Crysis, because waiting for it hurts me hard.

BTW Does any1 remember, when we were moving from 98/Me to XX, were there the same problems with drivers/compatibility?

But there arent bad news to post, because Crytek hasnt told us a release date, yet.  Shocked

Its quite normal that they have to solve such problems.

I mean the same kind of problems, I dont believe anything till its official !

If they would just release Crysis without optimizing it, Crysis would already be out...

Especially for people like you, I typed in the 1st mesage, that if anybody doubts in the source of that information, he must think of this information and understand that it is TRUTHFUL.

If you dont trust in this TRUTHFUl information, its your problem; continue sitting and thinking "Huh, Crysis beta release is delayed, again, why?"

And I said, that Crytek cant give any OFFICIAL info why Crysis is being delayed. SWITH YOUR BRAIN ON AND READ MY MESSAGES CAREFULLY, please.

The thing is : You may believe it or not and decide for yourself if the news are truthful.
