Also VLC allows you to play movies as you're computers wallpaper, and Winamp allows you to have its AVS Visualizers as a background also, And you can even do it in Windows 2000, XP and Vista!

He is staying on topic?! His post has nothing to do with the topic of this thread "Crysis Dreamscenes for Windows" and not about what other apps can do. Don't bother continuing to argue. Pemalite is right and hes considered on topic. Explaining another aspect or opposite view of a topic is still related to the topic. An example of off topic would be something that has nothing to do with this thread at all.

Why does it have to stay on Vista Ultimate? Is there some special coding that Ultimate does that Home Premium wont do?
"NEWS: DeskScapes 2.0 is in development. It will support nearly all versions of Windows Vista. It will be available first for Object Desktop users. See the announcement here."
Sorry, just found this on the website. So it looks like us lowly Vista HP users will get to have this feature later.

I wonder if it' a certain requirement in Aero itself perhaps? If that's the case someone may crack it to work in Vista's Transformation Pack. (Bonus for us Win2k and XP users).

Maybe, I just assumed Aero was Aero in any version of Vista. Hopefully it wont be long until the get version 2.0 out and everyone can use it. I like the idea of the waterfall background.

Yeah but it might have some Open API of some sort for some software to interact with it more than usual or something.

Also VLC allows you to play movies as you're computers wallpaper, and Winamp allows you to have its AVS Visualizers as a background also, And you can even do it in Windows 2000, XP and Vista!
Thats awesome, I've had VLC for ages and only just realised you could do that when you mentioned it. Though VLC seems to crash every now and then while looping a video in the background, just comes up with an error and the wallpaper just goes black. Are those dreamscene files in a format which VLC can read? I wonder if its possible to get a Crysis video wallpaper working in Ubuntu too.

I'm not sure if it could "read" them, But you can view Video Files Zipped/Rarred in VLC media Player, same goes with viewing said files in a .iso format. - About you're crashing, I' haven't had any such problems.
