Fellow forum member Clivey has provided us with some updates of his CryTools tool that replaces the old Crysis Launcher. The tool was completely rewritten from zero to become a toolkit for the CryENGINE2 and now has Punkbuster 1.21 checking, Mod Clean Up, Mod Mashing and Map MD5 Checking (needed for map updating) embedded into the one application.

Update
Most recently, he has been doing some bug fixing from posts here and from some of the PM's, as the tool should be released within the next week or so for release 2. Clivey would also like to gather feedback as to what features/functions you users would like to see in Crytools. For instance, have you ever thought I'd wish I had a tool that did X or Y?

The application now updates itself after verifying versions with the server and updates can now be pushed out Automatically. This concept has also been embedded into the Map updating, where via a simple Server solution, maps and applications can be updated automatically and also rolled back, should there be an issue with the latest release.

             Backup Options for Mods
             Integrated Mod Cleaner Tool into Crytools
             Integrated Mashup Tool into Crytools
             
  • Mutiplayer
            Add Favourite Servers
            Join Direct to Fav Servers through Crytools with the option of doing a PB check before laoding
             Integrated PB Online Checker into Crytools (now checks Bin DLLs as well)
             Added MD5 Checks of 150 MP maps to stop user being kicked for map mismatch
             Added options to make MD5 Level Hash for map makers, so the MD5 Hash can be downloaded automatically to other Crytool users, thus can be checked by them

WIP Features
Optimise Config 60% completed - User specifies the FPS they want eg 30FPS. Crytools then takes control of Crysis and runs configurations until it achieves the FPS required or as close as possible. Function can take a bit of time as it requires mutiple loading/unloading of Crysis, so its one of those run it and wait patiently.

Mod Wizard 20% completed - A wizard that enables the user to create a new Mod, by allowing easy changes to weapons, vehicle etc settings via simple GUI controls, then outputs a Mod. Functionality will the integrated into Mashup function, for 100% Mashing.

AutoMap Downloader - A functionality that allows downloading new maps from a server directly. A forth coming feature will be for server admins, so they can subscribe to a system, where the map versions on each server are syncronised, thus reducing the amount of errors and also downloads people have to do.
