Crytek has recently stated that Warhead will be the last of Crytek's PC-exclusive titles.

"He was referring to any new projects we will start in the future," Seeley [Crytek's business manager] clarified to Next Generation. "Warhead has been under development for quite some time, and we had no desire or intention to disappoint our loyal PC fans.  So, after some careful consideration, we decided to continue our support for the PC Crysis franchise with this release. But yes, all new franchises we develop in the future will be created with a cross platform strategy in mind"


He also stated that system requirements had no affect on Crysis' sales.

which is still good,imo. games usually get ruined when irritating little console fanboys start taking part Get Lost
the longer the crysis franchise stays pc-exclusive, the better,imo. at least the end of the franchise is at least a few years away yet Cheesy

I think this is good. I love a good old PC-Exclusive Tongue
I'm only saying that cause I have a brand new PC and getting a new graphics card soon, if I had a console, I'd be pretty pissed off.

But, it just depends on when Crytek finish with Crysis, it could be 10 years...

I agree, cause if it goes to consoles, graphics will be cut down. And we all don't like it when that happens.
Sure they could spend forever making the PC version better than the console but at the end of the day, why would they?!

I just realised that the only PC exclusive games(not including RTS games,etc) being released this year are Crysis Warhead and STALKER: Clear Sky (unless I'm forgetting something). It's a shame really  Cry

Anyway hopefully Crysis 2 and 3 remain PC exclusive.

LOL, and those are probably the best shooters of the year, not to mention Cryostasis is also a FPS PC exclusive, along with Chrome 2, Battlefield: Heroes,  StarCraft II, one of the biggest games of 08 Pc exclusive, , new expansion to NWn2 was just announced, Space Seige (RPG), Dragon Age,  GTR Evolution (Racing Sim), . PC has a tremendous lienup, and its own high quality exclusives. Consoles get more filler, crap. In order to get the console exclusive games you need a PS3 and 360, PC gets much of what teh PS3 and especially 360 gets, plus its own excluives, mods, betetr controls.

Well, i guess that will be the last of Crytek's PC-exclusive that i'll be shelling out money for, it's there loss. And since i just sold the only so called next gen system a PS3 that i was very very dissappointed with by the way .Crytek will be losing my business for sure in the future.
