Work In Progress:

    * Alpha Crysis
    * Surreal
    * Rainy Days

Released:

    * Eye of the Serpent

Work In Progress Maps

Alpha Crysis
...is a WIP map that’s being created by crazyeyezkilla.

What with it being eight months since the release of Crysis, during that time the tropical jungle setting has obviously grown thin. Alpha Crysis, although another tropical island map, surpasses the norm with its unparalleled beauty not seen in any other map out there. After releasing his version of the GDC06 map here, crazyeyezkillah worked hard perfecting his mapping skills and today we have the obvious result; a stunning, jaw dropping tropical map. We've only included a small selection of the amazing available screenshots, so if you'd like to see the remainder then visit the forum thread here.

Surreal
...is a WIP level that’s being developed by atest.

Next up we have a previously unfeatured ICMC map to present to you! With not long to go until the deadline, the pressure is on for atest who has spent the previous weeks attempting to finish off his creation for the ICMC. Unlike many of the maps, it will be set predominantly in a nighttime setting featuring many twists and turns, and promises to be an exciting trip for those playing. We've got a few of his many screenshots here that show off his talent, and more images of which can be found in the Crymod forum thread.

Rainy Days
...is a work in progress map that’s under devevlopment by CaptainChris.

After having released his very successful first map The Harbour, CaptainChris has spent the time since then working on the maps official sequel. Featuring a variety of gameplay styles from all out tank battles to stealthing through small settlements, the map looks set to be another hit with the community. To show off his latest work he's taken some screenshots of various aspects of the map; a greater selection of these can be viewed inside his Crymod forum thread, which is located here.

Released Map

Eye of the Serpent
...is a finished level created by ace mcgee.

Possibly the most productive and fast working mapper on Crymod, ace mcgee is back with his popular "Z" series of maps with another set of levels named Eye of the Serpent. These seven maps track the player across an entire narrative story, with themes that range from chase scenes to stealth settings. With all the maps being the size of the average map in Crysis, you can expect hours and hours of gameplay. More screenshots from these maps can be viewed in the forum thread here, and if you like what you see then you can download the finished maps from the Crymod Download Database here.

Do not name it, my friend, for it is like water. Nothing is softer than water. yet it can overcome rock. It does not fight.
It flows around the opponent. Formless, nameless. the true master dwells within.

The 'Alpha Crysis' map looks stunning. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming his newest build isn't available for download yet, only the GDC06 version? Can't wait to bring my pc to its knees with this one. Smiley
