The fact that I at first glance thought the 2nd picture was more of test's (khenaz) work, is a testament to his talent.  When I read the 2nd image was actually a photograph, it just blew me away.  Computer graphic renders have gotten so good, we are now starting to encounter difficulty telling them apart from reality.

It will only get better from here.  Soon in the future we will be scrutinizing unlabeled images closely for hours, trying to figure out if they are real or rendered.

Thats ture, but your cant get much more realistic looking than real life Roll Eyes

Well I saw some screenshots of Crysis 3 and they looked way more realistic than walking through the forest that's near my house! The trees in the forest just look so plastic and dont have enough HDR and sunshafts. Tongue
